Hapoel Jerusalem BC has signed Cassius Winston, who will be the team's second foreign player. Winston will earn $350,000 during the season. The point guard holds the assist record in Michigan State University history and was drafted in the second round in 2020. He played 29 games over two seasons with the Washington Wizards, where he played alongside Danny Ainge. After that, he moved to Europe and joined Bayern Munich, with whom he played in the EuroLeague. Along the way, he also played in Turkey with Fenerbahçe, where he played alongside Austin Wiley. Cassius Winston said after signing: 'I'm excited to join Hapoel Jerusalem BC. We have a great foundation here and I hope to integrate quickly and contribute as best I can. With the potential we have here, the sky is the limit, and with the amazing fans I've heard so much about - I'm confident we have many reasons to be excited for the new season'.
